Zimbabwean artists raise flag high with AFRIMA nominations.
AFRIMA is an annual combined effort by music professionals across the continent aimed at celebrating the rich musical heritage of African continent and this year’s edition of the award show features 5 nominations for Zimbabwean artists.
AFRIMA recently released the list of nominees ahead of the 2021 edition of the African and contemporary artist and Jah Prayzah was nominated for the Best Male Artist in Southern Africa award.
Rising dancehall musician, Nutty O’s ‘Safe’ and Ex Q’s single ‘Wakatemba’ featuring Tocky Vibes will battle for the Best Artist, Duo or Group in African Reggae, Ragga and Dancehall award.
Amapiano queen Sha Sha who won the Viewer’s Choice :Best New International Act at the American Black Entertainment Television awards in 2020 is also nominated for Best Female Artist in Southern Africa alongside Tamy Moyo.
The ceremony features over 400 songs from artistes in the 30 continental and 10 regional categories cutting across African talents and creatives living on the continent and in the Diaspora.
