BEITBRIDGE BORDER EXPANSION TO COMPLETE THIS MONTH

The government says it will complete the Beitbridge border post expansion project by the end of this month.
Dr Jorum Gumbo, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs in charge of monitoring and implementation of government programmes, toured the facility on Wednesday and was impressed with the freight terminal which is the initial phase of the project.
Zimborders consortium Chief Executive officer Mr Francois Diedrechsen who was touring with the minister, told journalists that all is in place to finish the project according to set time frames.
Beitbridge border post clears almost eight million travelers each year making it the busiest inland regional port.
