The second republic continues to develop the nation with construction works at Kuwadzana and Westgate roundabouts set to be completed next month.
Alpha Vision Zimbabwe spoke to motorists who expressed their excitement about the road rehabilitation project which is set to facilitate smooth travel and decrease the risk of accidents.
The motorists also said the addition of filter lanes at roundabouts, will improve the flow of traffic during peak periods which are normally characterised by congestion and traffic jams.
Transport and infrastructural development Minister Honorable Felix Mhona says the government is dedicated to modernisation of the country’s road network and developing the relevant infrastructure.
The government took over the rehabilitation of urban roads under the emergency road rehabilitation programme after years of neglect by local authorities, with several road restoration projects at various levels of implementation in other urban areas including Bulawayo, Mutare and Victoria Falls.
