Construction firms say 2022 is set to be a productive year for their sector after they recorded a successful year in 2021.
The culmination of construction projects on industrial, commercial and residential fronts together with government projects which were undertaken, came together to result in a great year for the construction industry.
Director of a local construction firm Obey Chizengwa said 2021 saw more opportunities for his company and he believes that 2022 will continue along the same path.
Chizengwa said Zimbabwe is a nation rebuilding, and as the government continues to prioritise infrastructure development, a lot of great opportunities await players in the sector.
Cement, timber and brick manufacturing firms have also benefited from the brisk business recorded in the construction industry.
