As the second republic continues with its quest for upholding democracy and free and fair elective processes, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has set the 26th of March as the date for holding by-elections in 28 constituencies.
In a government gazette today, the President also declared January 26 as the nomination date, ahead of the by-elections.
Some seats fell vacant following the recalling of legislators, while some were due to death and Gokwe South constituency fell vacant following the deployment of Victor Matemadanda to a diplomatic mission.
