RURAL COMMUNITIES BENEFIT FROM ROAD REHABILITATION PROGRAM

As the government continues with its quest to rehabilitate roads in the country, traditional leaders have not been left out.
In Matabeleland North Province, roads leading to traditional leader’s homes are being developed under the emergency road rehabilitation program.
Matabeleland North Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Honourable Richard Moyo said the programme which is being rolled out through the district development fund DDF comes at a time when roads which leading to traditional leader’s homesteads are in a sorry state.
Permanent secretary in the office of the President and Cabinet Mr Christopher Shumba said the initiative is not meant to benefit the traditional chiefs only but everyone within the community in line with the country’s vision 2030.
