By Staff Reporter
Finance and Economic Development Minister Proffesor Mthuli Ncube says the Government has set aside over ZWL$300 billion for the ongoing infrastructure projects across the country.
Proffessor Ncube revealed this after a key indaba meeting with strategic players in the construction industry this morning.
The Minister reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to ensuring that contractors doing Government projects are paid on time including incentives to boost their operations.
Infrastructure development has been identified as a key enabler of Vision 2030 by the Second Republic.
Vision 2030 is the Government’s vision of an upper middle income society. It hinges on functional infrastructure, hence the construction of roads, airports and other forms of infrastructure in the country.
