ZIMBABWE AND INDIA EXPLORE BILATERAL TIES

India’s ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Ambassador Vijay Khanduja says his government will continue cooperating with the Second Republic led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Speaking at an event to commemorate India’s 73rd republic day in Harare yesterday Ambassador Khanduja said the education and cultural sectors have great potential for exchange of knowledge and resources.
Zimbabwe’s Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador James Manzou, who was speaking at the event said Zimbabwe appreciates support from India in various sectors of the economy.
The country is pursuing cooperation with India in areas such as health, as the two countries continue to strengthen bi-lateral relations.
Zimbabwe and India have over the years maintained strong ties, with the focus now on the health sector after India heeded Zimbabwe’s call for more COVID-19 vaccines.
