THE ROAD REHABILITATION PROGRAM MOVES TO HIGH DENSITY SUBURBS
By Staff Reporter
The Government will now take the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Program (ERRP) to the country’s high-density suburbs, after over 20 years of neglect by urban councils.
Through the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) the Government will disburse ZWL$16 billion to the country’s four road authorities for road maintenance works.
ZINARA spokesperson, Tendai Mugabe confirmed that they will disburse the funds after receiving work plans from road authorities.
The funds will be disbursed to the District Development Fund (DDF), the department of roads under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, and to rural as well as urban local authorities in March this year.
