As the government gears itself for the expansion of the tourism sector in line with vision 2030, one of Victoria Falls’ major roads has been given a huge facelift.
Pioneer road was constructed under the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme, and has since been opened to the public.
“The completion of this project is an exciting development, it eases congestion and is good for tourists” said a motorist who spoke to Alphavision.
Another motorist who spoke to Alphavision Zimbabwe said “We are grateful to the Government for coming up with this project, which will cement Victoria falls’ recently awarded city status.”
Under the National Development Strategy One, government views infrastructure development as a key pillar towards the attainment of an upper middle-income society by 2030.
