Zimbabwe and Zambia have reached an agreement to work together on development projects related to tourism.
Speaking on the sidelines of the United Nations Environment Programme in Nairobi Kenya, Zimbabwe’s Minister of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Mangaliso Ndlovu, said he held talks with his Zambian counterpart, Collins Nzovu where they agreed to cooperate on tourism projects.
Honourable Ndlovu said “The talks were cordial and we reached an agreement whereby the two countries should focus on development in terms of projects while focusing on modalities to facilitate joint ventures given the proximity of the two nations.”
Zambian tourism minister Honorable Collins Nzovu said it is important for the two countries to synergise especially in the area of wildlife.
He said “Zambia has got a lot to learn from Zimbabwe so we are ready to explore more opportunities while assessing the need to develop and expand existing projects, I think very soon we shall sign some agreements so that we accelerate the projects and focus on the way forward.”
