The Ignite Youth Organisation is impacting youths’ lives in Zimbabwe. Their impact comes from engaging with youths between 13 to 29. They engage in holistic youth development programs. These programs are during or after-school as well as university.

“These programs provide a unique combination of experiences that assist a young person on their purpose journey. Our integral approach to youth empowerment recognizes the multidimensional nature of young people’s development needs; thus, we seek to address young people’s personal, social, physical, psychosocial, mental, and economic needs in a highly synchronized manner.”
Furthermore, youths in Zimbabwe need mentorship to be able to achieve their fullest potential. There is rampant drug abuse and other vices they engage in. Also, such programs help them to focus on their lives and future in a healthy way. Ignite Youth Organisation works with all youth, but their main focus is on those from low-income communities. Sadly, these often face challenges regarding access to mentorship and career guidance.

Also, Ignite Youth Organisation mentions that these youths often lack access to services like career guidance. Moreover, they do not access mentorship and mental health support easily. The organisation notes that these services are usually not on offer in their schools, colleges and universities. Therefore, the youth organisation is bridging the gap and is providing these services.
Additionally, Ignite Youth Organisation’s founder and director has inspiration from her youth. Being raised by a single mother, she often kept her problems and challenges to herself. This led to crisis and confusion. This journey resulted in her being passionate about helping youths. Moreover, it developed a passion in her to help young people gain access to mentorship. This inturn, would give them guidance to navigate the careers they choose.
Moreso, the organisation is helping a lot of youths. So far, they have reached more than 25 000 youths between 13 and 29. This number is quite significant considering how challenging operating in Zimbabwe can be. The youth organisation is on a path to impact and change lives. They are trailblazers, helping youths discover themselves and their place in a world full of distractions.
